Boys Tennis grabs Top Honors at Holland Quad

The Grand Haven boys tennis team recorded 14 points to take top team honors at the Holland quad tournament Saturday.

Host Holland finished second with 13 points, while Spring Lake finished third with 11 points and Northview finished fourth with 10 points.

The singles players for Grand Haven moved up one spot for the tournament as No. 1 singles player Noah Bachmann was out for the day with an illness. Spencer Sortman, Riley Wilton and Nathan Sexton moved up to Nos. 1-3 singles, as well as Corbin Johnson, who played No. 4 singles for the team. 

Riley Wilton and Nathan Sexton went 3-0 on the day, winning their flight championships. Spencer Sortman finished in second with a 2-1 record at No. 1 singles, while Corbin Johnson was 0-3 on the day. See what Coach Wilton had to say about the teams performance on the Grand Haven Tribune website
